Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

This young, beautiful, nearly black pacing mare has six weeks under saddle and is ready for a new home and career. Haylie shares her insights, “Lizzie prefers to trot, but will step into a gait if she is pushed into the bit. She definitely would be a fun trail horse. She seems pretty fearless and brave. I didn’t get it on video but I also had a flag on her, and she would walk with it completely covering her eyes. She is very trusting and listens to her rider.” Lizzie is refined and regal with a large intelligent eye, trim throat, and hingy neck. She is dynamic and has a ton of presence. She was rescued out of Mississippi by the daughter of her breeder who closely followed Lizzie’s career. The mare raced 42 times over three seasons earning $24,800. She has a very fast record of p, 1:54.1. Lizzie injured her left hind suspensory in May. She was purchased, rehabbed, and sent New Vocations. Lizzie has finally gotten up to a good weight. She is a beautiful mare to trail ride or train for the show ring. She would also make a very nice broodmare to add speed and quality to gaited horses. Will someone please give this mare a home?
