This is a big, pretty, well mannered pacing mare that is sound for riding and breeding.   MD raced 106 times at northeastern tracks over six seasons earning $45,000.  She spent a couple of years as a pleasure mount and competed a few times in Intro Dressage.  Later she was sent to North Carolina and raised three foals.  Her owners of 11 years no longer wish to breed and would like MD to have a home where she will be utilized and enjoyed.  This mare raced on the pace, but preferred to trot when jogging.  One of her foals both trotted and paced.  MD has only been ridden in a plain snaffle, but should easily learn to rack, if desired, in a mild leverage bit.  MD hadn’t been ridden in eight years when Georgia Coyle pulled her out of the field for these photos.  She should make a nice mount for trails, foxhunting, or fun shows.  MD’s son was adopted this spring to a home in North Carolina where he is proving to be an exceptional trail and endurance mount.  MD would also make a nice cross on a Warmblood or a gaited horse.    MD is an alpha mare.  As a racehorse she was the stable favorite, thoroughly enjoying the attention showered upon her.  She is confident in her position as a Diva, both in the herd and among people.  MD is located at a commercial boarding farm near Charlotte, NC.  An approved adopter can commit to MD by faxing a contract to Dot Morgan 937 947-3201.  FMI contact Chris or Georgia at 704 233-5980 or email gcoyle@carolina.rr.com or Dot Morgan 937 947-4020, dot@horseadoption.com
