Jo Pa’s Connection, a Standardbred, was adopted by Kara Pagliarulo in March of 2004. In her recent update she writes…”The day of the show was unseasonably cold and windy, but Joey didn’t flinch. He was a champ- literally! Joey earned a 77% for his Intro A test and a 76% for Intro B from a USDF “S” Judge. Comments on his tests included, “wonderful roundness and fluid figures”and “nice clean mover”. On both tests, he received 8s on his collective marks, including gaits. He also scored three 9s! At the end of the day, we learned that Joey also won the high score award for the entire show! No bad for his first show! Joey’s naturally calm, confident “Standardbred” temperment is certainly as asset in the show ring. He is level- headed, smart and has a work ethic that matches his enormous heart. Joey is truly an ambassador for his breed. People often ask me what type of warmblood he is. I always proudly show is tattoo and answer, “He’s not a warmblood. He’s a Standardbred!” I’ll admit that I was not sure exactly what to expet when I adopted my first Standardbred, but Joey has exceeded all of my expectations.”
