Win is our little energizer bunny! He is definitely forward moving and forward thinking with a good work ethic acquired over his 8 seasons of racing. Week by week he is figuring out that it is no longer necessary to win the race and is easing into working at a slower, more balanced pace. Win is athletic and bright enough to make the transition and seems forward by nature, so it just might take a bit longer since he had a long racing career. Apparently bright minded enough also to open the stall snap, left himself out and let other horses out of their stalls, as told to us by his racing owner when Win was with him. Ah, the busy mind of a Thoroughbred! No such attempts here though because he gets daily turn out with friends and that quiets his mind.
Natural curiosity has Win seeking attention from everyone and makes him happy to ride all around the farm exploring what’s next down each path he takes, so he might really enjoy trail riding as part of his second career. He retired from racing sound with no apparent injuries, proving that he is a durable horse suitable for any discipline for an upper intermediate level rider and he has no vices.
