Want a horse who always talks to you when he hears your voice or spots you coming down the aisle? Unforced will and always makes you feel like you are the center of his universe as he looks for you over his stall gate.  He is definitely a one person horse who would be happy if you never left his stall, soaking up all of the attention you are willing to give him.   Out of his stall he is a different horse and can be a little overly self assured at times, excited to go to turn out or wanting to play with you like another horse in the indoor.  He just needs reminded that we are not the same size as he is and there are rules to follow, but he is learning.  Same scenario under saddle so he is not for a timid rider, but an adult who is confident and can keep him on task.  He actually does better with a male rider because he needs to be kept focused on his job and Unforced can be strong to ride at times.  He has a stout build and is a little full of himself, with good reason, but don’t tell him that!

Unforced is just getting back to work after six months of time off for tweeking his left front suspensory when he stepped on his own shoe, pulling it off in turn out last fall.  So he will need to get back to work slowly and is just doing about 30 minutes of flat work 2-3 times a week to recondition him and the tendon.  No jumping for a while.  He has no known injuries from the track.  Unforced is a stall walker when it is feeding time or something concerns him, but it can usually be stopped by throwing him some hay.

He loves his turn out time and is happiest if he can get his buddy to run and play with him, galloping across the pasture.  But after several hours out he is just as happy to be back in his stall happily eating hay, so turn out time is a must for him, but 24/7 might not suit him.  He definitely can not go out with mares, but he can be turned out next to them without issue.

Unforced is by the popular stallion and 3 time Maryland horse of the year Two Punch who is by Mr. Prospector and out of the champion filly Heavenly Cause who earned $622,000 in 21 starts with a record of 9-4-2.  She is by French champion Grey Dawn.  Unforced’s dam is by New York champion Scarlet Ibis who in turn is by MSGW Cormorant who earned $243,000 in 12 starts and a record of 8-2-0.
