“Sunny” is a horse who embodies endurance. This handsome guy is made to be an athlete. Even after 83 starts on the track, he goes along like a champion, full of vigor and enjoyment of his new job as a riding horse.
On the ground, Sunny has a kind disposition and will just about fall asleep to a good soft brushing of his face. He also loves carrots and is eager to please, but he opens up best with a quiet handler who can reassure him if he gets nervous.
The same goes for Sunny under saddle: a rider with a light hand and confidence will be the best partner for him. Sunny enjoys being ridden, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, and he is quite brave in new situations. Ground poles? No problem. Riding in a ring full of scary jumps? They don’t scare him. Dogs around? No big deal. Sunny has been there and done that!
Even though Sunny doesn’t mind being ridden or hand grazing outdoors, he is not the biggest fan of extended turnout, so he would do best in a home that can be flexible in turnout schedules to accommodate his needs.
