Athena is super smart and she picks up on what you’re asking very quickly. She likes to spend time with her person being silly- unzippering jackets, getting head scratches and eating her favorite snack- peppermints.
Honestly she hasn’t gotten much training/riding lately since my work schedule took a dramatic turn which is why I would love to see her go to someone who has time to spend with her both undersaddle and off. An intermediate- advanced rider would suit her best. She rarely has any fireworks even when she wasn’t being ridden consistently. She does need work on downward transitions.
She also needs a rider who doesn’t have very high competitive goals as she has arthritis in her hocks. She has jumped a few crossrails when we were training consistently but that was a while ago. She definitely was an overachiever though so her future rider has that to look forward to when/if they want to jump.
