Dark beauty, Slippery Slope is a big, bold trotting-bred gelding that catches the eye of all passersby. At 16.2 hands, he is well built to carry a taller, longer-legged rider. He’s extremely affectionate with his rider and does all that’s asked of him and more.Slippery Slope is the type of horse that wants to please and tries very hard to do just that. This type of quality is excellent to have, but can often cause issues for riders who are too novice. Slippery Slope is very forward-thinking and has a wonderful work ethic. This pretty gelding prefers to trot under saddle and is going to need an experienced rider with the time to finish him. He could make a very nice show horse with more professional training. He loves having a job and thrives off consistency. Due to his overachiever attitude, he is only being offered as a riding horse and should not be driven.
Slope gets along with other geldings and is very experienced with loading, shipping, cross-tying, bathing, etc., although he is NOT suitable for novice handlers on the ground, nor is he a candidate for any kind of pleasure driving. The successful adopter will be one who is an advanced rider looking for a Standardbred to develop for dressage, jumping, fox hunting, etc. Slippery Slope has so much to offer the right person who has the time and ability to continue and guide him in his training. He would love nothing more than to bond with his new person!
