Pretty and kind, Shady Maple Bullet was adopted in 2015, but was returned because his adopters moved across the country and sadly could not take him with them. While with his former family, he was ridden by children on trails and in an arena setting; this horse is about as quiet as they come. Although pacing bred, Shady has a smooth trot that is almost like a Quarter Horse jog. Shady is not in a hurry and is happy to walk all day long. He has not been taught to canter, but could be taught to do that as he has been transitioned for a few years. We just love his sweet and kind demeanor. This horse would be a wonderful horse to take on trail rides, do demonstrations or parades or simply to ride to see the sights. He loves attention and is a delight to have around.
Shady does great in a situation with plenty of grass turnout–he likes to eat! We have been working on getting him back in shape. These photos were taken three years ago and this is how he looks when he has access to a good nutrition program–his dapples shine like a copper penny! With spring coming, he will be back to that beautiful color and condition very quickly! He gets along with other horses and doesn’t have any bad habits. He’s as uncomplicated as they come and will make a fabulous all-around family horse.
