“ Gia” as I call her has a very entertaining personality. She is a diva and loves her creature comforts, such as peppermints. She is an in your pocket kinda girl. She will do just about anything for a cookie.
She has proven to be an amazing and brave trail horse. She will cross water first if asked, but prefers to follow a buddy if it looks to muddy. Bikes, cars, guns, and dogs are not an issue for her, she handles them all in stride while riding Western or English. If her riding buddies are not the sanest companions, she will take it in stride and continue without issue. Crossing logs can be done with a jump if asked, but will just step over and continue on.
She does have her opinions about grooming and blankets, if done gently and respectfully she will tolerate the process especially if you have cookies. She loads on the trailer with no issues on step up or ramp. She stands very well for the farrier for her front shoes to be put on, for her back feet she must be done on both feet from the left. She lunges very well and is respectful.
I believe she will be best suited for a home that enjoys trail riding, fox hunting 2nd or 3rd flight. Arena work is not her favorite thing at this time, and would prefer home where that is a limited option. She travels to new locations without issue.
She is an interesting individual as she was found to have a cyst on one of her ovaries that was causing her a great deal of discomfort so she has had her ovaries removed. This is known as an ovariectomy or spaying and she will no longer have heat cycles. She does not have any special requirements as a result. Gia does not have any stall vices.
