Most Wanted is an old soul. He retired from racing and was used as a track pony since then. This means he was ridden by someone who had a lead shank to hold on to another horse at his side. The other horse may or may not have a rider and Manny’s job was to be the brave leader while the youngster may be fractious. This has given him a”been there, done that” aura. He seems like Oscar the Grouch when you walk up to the stall but he truly does like for you to gently caress his head. He has great manners for leading and the farrier. Manny is a cribber who is controlled with a collar.
Under saddle, Manny will try to convince you at first that standing is his best speed but once you tell him he does have to work he doesnt miss a beat. He has a small stride which is super smooth and consistent, making him easy to ride for less experienced riders. He is overall kind and quiet, the perfect packer for riders who enjoy a leisurely pace. He will continue to blossom with regular chiropractic care and we have had him adjusted twice. Having youngsters bounce off your side and trying to maintain your ground is hard work. Manny retired sound without any apparent injuries and is best suited for an advanced beginner or intermediate rider with the guidance of a trainer.
