It is breaking my heart that I have to find Meadealex AKA Morgan a new home. He was my best friend and companion for the past almost 8 years.
Morgan has a great personality! He does not have a mean bone in his body. He is very very smart and can be manipulative if he can get away with it. He does not buck or rear. He loves using his brain. He does not spook. He will try though if he knows he can get away with it. He does crow hops. Always makes me laugh.
I rode him for pure pleasure. He does not need to be lunged before riding. I rides Western or English, but he does not neck reign. Which for me is not a problem. I was born and raised in Germany and only rode English. He likes to intimidate in putting his big head up and looking down on you but when he realizes you are not intimidated by him he bows his head to you and snuggles.
He stands good for the farrier and even shifts his weight from the leg that is being worked on. He is super good with kids. He does not kick or bite. He loves apples, carrots and peppermint.
He gives kisses and likes to wipe his grain mouth on your shirt! He is a messy eater. He drops half the grain on the ground but picks it up after. He loves to dunk his hay into water when he eats. He has a good stomach and has not had a colic since I have had him. I can go on and on about his personality because it is just so great! He is 22 years old but in good health and nobody believes his age.Morgan’s pasture buddy of 5 years – a red roan QH mare named Bug- is also looking for a new home and the adopter would love for the horses to go together.
