Seven is the spitting image of his dam’s sire, City Zip, a chestnut with white and the same short backed, stockier build. His maturity makes him more comfortable in his own skin, just going right to work from day one, so a good work ethic is already in place. He is forward moving, forward thinking and very intelligent, figuring things out often on the first request and being a happy go lucky guy makes him fun to watch. The video is of his 3rd ride so he is still a bit forward and occasionally resisting the rider’s hands when asked to slow his pace, but after 31 starts he is is just doing what he has been trained to do, which is go forward. Without a doubt he will figure it out quickly from what we have seen so far. Seven has nice gaits and really drives from behind, so his gaits should improve as he becomes fit. He is a little playful and will sneak in a quick nip at you if you are not paying attention to him though and is very proud of himself acting like it couldn’t have possibly been him! He is suitable for an intermediate level ride and up, should be suitable for any discipline and has no vices.
Because he is smart, he has learned to take advantage of his turn out buddies tail by standing right behind him or up against him, letting the other geldings tail keep the flies off him since his tail is too short to do the job. Someone chewed it off in turn out before he came to our facility, but it will grow back eventually.
