Kashability aka ‘Abe” is a lovely, dark, 14 year old pacing gelding. He had 133 starts and earned $84,216 on the track before coming to New Vocations. He was placed last year and very loved by his adopter, however due to some unforeseen circumstances, Abe had to come back. Abe received a lot of good ground work and training while in his home. Since coming back he has switched right back into a riding routine and is doing great! Below was his description when he came to us and all is still very true. Be sure to check out his three great videos!

“Abe” has a laid back personality and can even be lazy at times. Although he raced on the pace, he prefers to trot under saddle. Abe also is learning to canter and doing very well!   This handsome guy is almost 16 hands, so a great size for most riders.  Abe has been on multiple trail rides, alone, encountered deer and nothing bothers him!  He was wonderful and loved every minute it of it!   He seems to love being ridden in the snow. In the arena he is equally as good and has mastered going over the tarp under saddle and on the longe line, as seen in his obstacle video.  Abe loves to be in the crossties and enjoys being groomed. He would be a great horse for someone who would like to drive as well.  Abe has nothing but a joy to work with since arriving and picked up to riding very quickly. With his happy, laid back personality, Abe will be ideal for trail riding, foxhunting, endurance, driving and showing! Abe is currently going out with two geldings and has adjusted well to being turned out. Abe is just an easy fun horse to have around! He will make someone an awesome horse!

Abe was a stallion until he was 9 years old. Homes with mixed herds will not be suitable and a way to separate him to give him time to adjust to a herd slowly is advisable.  He was turned out with 2 geldings and did well during his time at New Vocations. Abe tends to be the boss of the other horse and was at his last home, so they had to keep him by himself and he was very happy. This pretty gelding is all manners though and not the least bit pushy on the ground.

Abe was also featured on the Post Time Show with Mike and Mike! Check out how much his racing connections loved him by following this link:
