Tin is currently looking for his next partner in life. Over the past year Tin has gained a variety of experiences.
Tin is a 16.2 dark bay 2012 OTTB. He is up to day with Natural Balance Dentistry, vaccinations and wears front shoes, barefoot behind. Chiropractic, dental and all medical records will be available to new owner. Retired from racetrack sound with no injuries.
Tin is very playful, turned out with mini horse and another OTTB. Quiet when stalled, no vices. Loads and unloads from straight and slant load trailers with no issues. Bathes, ties, ground ties, stands for vet and farrier well. No vices other than a flip of the head when he knows I am mixing his feed at feeding time.
On the ground, Tin has a wonderful play drive. Liberty circles around you at walk, trot and canter. Changes of direction with flying changes. Exposure to all kinds of obstacles, bridges, tire pedestals, flags, balls, bull whips, noises and dogs. Liberty in round pen and in arena excellent yields that are soft and willing. In hand, rounding and working through lateral walk exercises and moving into trot work. Cooperative in bridle, cavasson and rope halter. Plays on 22 or 45 lines, confident with ropes and exposure to cows.
Under saddle, picks up his rider off fence or block, stands for mounting and dismounting both sides. Light and soft off seat and leg (no spurs needed). WTC, picks up his leads. He enjoys a nice steady eddy rider. Loves to hack out alone or in small group. Shoulder in, haunches in, leg yields under saddle at walk and trot. Opens and closes gates from horseback. Can swing ropes and crack bull whips from saddle. Cooperative over trotting poles and small obstacles. Rides in rope halter or snaffle bridle.
Tin would be best suited with an intermediate and above rider. He is a fun goober type of in your pocket gelding. He is looking for his next special person.
