Genteel Citizen, best known around the barn as “Gent,” is a real gentleman. At first glance, you might think he is a tall, fiery red-head, but once you get to know him, he is a big mush who will warm your heart. Gent stands well for the vet and farrier. He loves being pampered with a light gentle grooming or a bubble-bath. He has been turned out in a field with another gelding. Gent enjoys the other horses as long as they respect his personal space. He amazed us from his first ride, which took place during a busy evening in the indoor arena while we were avoiding the bitter cold. He remained calm and cool while lesson ponies and beginner riders trotted around him. He has taken a liking to one of our junior riders, who enjoys taking him out on the trail and out in the open. Gent likes to play a little when he is first asked to canter, but settles quickly. He is looking for an intermediate-level rider who is ready to hit the trails.
