Conquest Neighpalm is a beefcake 4yr old gelding who stands 16h. He is a well built tank so it is no surprise that he was a $400k purchase as a 2yr old. Unfortunately, he seems to have been more concerned with eating than running as he only made one unsuccessful start. He is all boy and loves to lean on his friends, no concern for personal space. He plays with his buddies but only runs if the whole group is doing so. Neighpalm is friendly and curious in the stall. He is not in much of a hurry to walk to or from the field. He is content to be middle of the herd and does not have any stall vices.
Neighpalm is happy go lucky to ride, just be-bopping around. He has enough motor that the rider does not have to constantly push him and maintains a steady pace. He has a swinging trot with a very comfy canter. Since he did not spend much time on the track, Neighpalm is not very worldly and can be dramatic about scary stuff at first sight. As a rider, if you act like its no big deal and appreciate the goof, he never gives it a second glance. He will probably have a few of these “holy cow” moments as he first starts to see the sights but gets over it so quickly that I believe it will not take long for him to become a total dude on the trails. Neighpalm will be best suited to low level dressage, pleasure riding and trails with an intermediate rider.
