AK Echo is a big boned 6yr old gelding who just retired in August after a solid race career. He ran 29 times and finished in the top 3 for 11 of those starts. He has transitioned well and is an “easy keeper” in comparison to most TB’s. He has good bone and great feet. Echo does best in a smaller turnout group of 2-3. He doesnt appreciate pasture mates who are very pushy and once settled in to the group, he tends to mind his own business. Echo is steadily gaining manners but is not mean, he just forgets to pay attention sometimes. Echo is a cribber.
Under saddle, he has so much potential! He moves freely trough his back and shoulders, while reaching down to the bit. He leans towards the lazier side and would be a good candidate for spurs as inspiration. Echo has the perfect tempo for hunters. He has an old bowed tendon which he raced with successfully and is suitable for jumping careers. He makes a tiny bit of noise at the canter due to a partial paralysis of his arytenoid cartilage in his airway but he also successfully raced with it and it does not limit him. Echo is a nice partner for an intermediate rider in any discipline!
